After my morning devotion, my heart was drawn to those in pain who may feel hopeless–like nothing ever works out for them, like they are everlastingly flawed. I have learned that there is always hope through the everlastingly merciful and forgiving power of Jesus Christ to heal at levels of our soul that we simply cannot comprehend can be healed. We feel uneasy as a result of the influence of our false or mistaken beliefs about ourselves coupled with our actions. We either learn to ignore the uneasiness and jump fullly into what we perceive the world has to offer, or we seek the solutions that calm our fears and ease our minds and relieve our burdens in lasting ways.
We do not always fully recognize that the reason so many people “do not feel comfortable in their own skin” is because they need the healing and deep cleansing of the soul that can only come through Christ. Sometimes, they do not realize that all can be made right, so they stay in misery. Often they seek solutions in places answers cannot be found. They may not know where to begin. It begins with having FAITH in Him who is mighty to save. We learn of His life and teachings through the scriptures.
I love this song by Kutless. I have witnessed through my own experiences of exercising consistent, enduring faith that these lyrics are true.
“I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains, hope that doesn’t end, EVEN WHEN the sky if falling. I’ve seen miracles just happen, silent prayers get answered, broken hearts become brand new. That’s what faith can do.”
I also appreciate the following lyrics.
You’re stronger than you know,
Don’t you give up now, the sun will still be shining.
You’ve gotta face the clouds to find the silver lining.
Life is so much more than what your eyes are seeing. You will find your way if you keep believing.
Impossible is not a word—it’s just a reason for someone not to try.
Overcome the odds when you don’t have a chance.
When the world says you can’t, it’ll tell you that you can.
Even if you fall sometimes you will have the strength to rise.
I know there IS a way up and out of any difficulty. Christ is the KEY. ~Carolyn Calton
I hope you enjoy this song by Kutless.
